At ANSOREMILO, we are committed to providing high-quality financial services to our customers. We understand that circumstances may arise where you need to request a refund. This Refund Policy outlines our guidelines for processing refunds and cancellations for our various financial products and services.

By using our services, you agree to the terms of this Refund Policy. Please read this policy carefully to understand your rights and obligations regarding refunds and cancellations.

Scope

This Refund Policy applies to all financial products and services offered by ANSOREMILO, including but not limited to:

  • SmartSave Plan
  • InvestGrow Portfolio
  • Education Fund
  • Retirement Builder
  • Financial Advisory Package

Cooling-Off Period

For most of our products and services, we offer a 30-day cooling-off period from the date of purchase. During this period, you may cancel your service and request a refund if you are not satisfied with your purchase.

To be eligible for a refund during the cooling-off period, you must:

  • Submit your refund request in writing within 30 days of the initial purchase
  • Provide a valid reason for your refund request
  • Not have used or substantially benefited from the service (as determined at our discretion)

Please note that certain products or promotional offers may have different cooling-off periods, which will be clearly communicated to you at the time of purchase.

Refund Eligibility by Product Type

SmartSave Plan

For our SmartSave Plan:

  • Principal Deposits: Your principal deposits are fully refundable at any time without penalties.
  • Service Fees: Monthly service fees are non-refundable once the service has been provided for that month.
  • Interest Earned: If you request a refund within the cooling-off period, any interest earned will be deducted from your refund amount.

InvestGrow Portfolio

For our InvestGrow Portfolio:

  • Within Cooling-Off Period: Full refund of your initial investment minus any market losses incurred during the holding period.
  • After Cooling-Off Period: You may withdraw your investment at the current market value, subject to the following conditions:
    • Early withdrawal fee of 1.5% if withdrawn before 12 months
    • No fee for withdrawals after 12 months
  • Management Fees: Management fees are non-refundable for periods during which the portfolio was actively managed.

Education Fund

For our Education Fund:

  • Within Cooling-Off Period: Full refund of your contributions minus any administrative fees.
  • After Cooling-Off Period: You may withdraw your savings at any time subject to the following conditions:
    • For education-related withdrawals: No fee
    • For non-education withdrawals: 5% fee on the withdrawn amount
  • Bonus Interest: Any bonus interest earned will be forfeited if the account is closed before the minimum holding period specified in your contract.

Retirement Builder

For our Retirement Builder:

  • Within Cooling-Off Period: Full refund of your contributions minus any administrative fees.
  • After Cooling-Off Period: Early withdrawals before retirement age are subject to:
    • 5% early withdrawal penalty
    • Any applicable tax consequences (as per Ghana tax regulations)
  • Exceptions: Early withdrawal fees may be waived in cases of:
    • Critical illness (with medical documentation)
    • Permanent disability
    • First-time home purchase (limited to 50% of account value)

Financial Advisory Package

For our Financial Advisory Package:

  • Before Initial Consultation: Full refund if cancelled before your scheduled consultation.
  • After Initial Consultation: 50% refund if you cancel before receiving your financial plan.
  • After Receiving Financial Plan: No refund once the comprehensive financial plan has been delivered.
  • Satisfaction Guarantee: If you're not satisfied with the quality of our advice, you may request a review within 14 days of receiving your financial plan. We may offer a partial refund at our discretion.

How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please follow these steps:

  2. Provide your name, account number, and the service for which you're requesting a refund
  3. Explain the reason for your refund request
  4. Include any supporting documentation that may be required (e.g., medical certificates for hardship claims)

We will acknowledge your request within 2 business days and aim to process all refund requests within 10 business days after approval.

Refund Processing

If your refund is approved, we will process it as follows:

  • Refunds will be issued using the same payment method used for the original purchase
  • Bank transfers and mobile money refunds typically take 3-5 business days to process
  • Credit/debit card refunds may take 5-10 business days to reflect in your account, depending on your card issuer

We will notify you by email once your refund has been processed.

Cancellation of Subscription Services

For subscription-based services (such as monthly contributions to savings or investment plans):

  • You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account dashboard or by contacting customer support
  • Cancellations will take effect at the end of your current billing cycle
  • No partial refunds will be provided for unused portions of a billing cycle
  • Your accumulated savings or investments will be handled according to the specific product policies outlined above

Please note that cancelling a subscription does not automatically trigger a withdrawal or refund of your invested funds. You must separately request a withdrawal if desired.

Exceptions and Special Circumstances

Promotional Offers and Discounts

Services purchased with special promotional offers or discounts may have different refund terms, which will be communicated to you at the time of purchase.

Technical Issues

If you experience technical issues that significantly impair your ability to use our services, and our support team is unable to resolve these issues, you may be eligible for a full or partial refund at our discretion, even after the standard cooling-off period.

Force Majeure

In cases of force majeure events (such as natural disasters, civil unrest, or other extraordinary circumstances beyond our control), we reserve the right to modify our refund policy as necessary.

Fraud or Violation of Terms

We reserve the right to refuse a refund if we detect fraudulent activity or a violation of our Terms and Conditions.

Regulatory Compliance

This Refund Policy complies with the regulations set forth by the Bank of Ghana, the Securities and Exchange Commission of Ghana, and other applicable financial regulatory authorities. In the event of any conflict between this policy and applicable laws or regulations, the laws and regulations will prevail.

We may update our Refund Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically for any changes. Your continued use of our services after policy changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Refund Policy.
